This video shows the steps for installing a GGS brand LCD screen protector for digital cameras. My camera is a Canon 50D. It's a glass cover designed to keep your LCD screen free from scratches. You'll also see a before/after comparison on the Canon 50D. The video (and some audio) was shot using a Canon Digital Rebel T1i (500D). 26 April 10, driving to malacca with parents in 24 April - 4.55 pm, test an active mode optical steady shot when driving. one hand operation, take out the camcorder from LCS-MX100 soft carrying case, open the LCD panel ( two hand of course, in the future should design one touch button to pop-up the LCD ), press the recording button with right hand thumb, start recording. the very useful optical steady shot active mode always set to on function, it is not like traditional optical image stabilizer, it have new 3 way shake cancelling function, enhanced stabilization at all zoom settings. and it is not like traditional electronic image stabilizer, it won't reduct the image quality. the 29.8mm wide angle lens is good enough to filming inside the car, or you can add on its 0.75X HD wide converter lens Sony VCL-HGA07B. the built-in 3.5" 16:9 wide screen LCD ( this is a true high tech 1920x1080 full HD screen ! ) is good in focus, you still can concentrated to drive, just like using your GPS navigator in car.

How to Build a Custom Viewfinder Sun Shade For Shooting Video on a DSLR Camera Video Clips. Duration : 5.52 Mins.
In this creative tutorial Spencer Weaver builds a custom viewfinder / sun shade for the articulating LCD screen on his Canon 60D DSLR camera. "After shooting video all day outside and struggling to see my LCD screen in the sun... I came home and thought up this easy to build design. The best part is - the build didn't cost me a dime! It is a quick solution and the design functions best as a sun shade." For this build you'll need: A pencil and straight edge Foam display board A hot glue gun Elastic Tape (Gaff tape, duct tape, or gorilla tape, all work fine) Some flexible craft foam and A utility knife Although this viewfinder works best on cameras with articulating LCD screens it can also be retrofitted to work on DSLR cameras like the Canon T2i, Canon 7D and Canon 5D Mark II. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION and TIPS: I use this custom viewfinder on a Canon 60D DSLR camera for shooting HD video. The design is also compatible with the LCD screens on many consumer and prosumer video cameras. One thing I didn't mention in the video is that after the viewfinder is glued together I cover the entire unit with a layer of gaff tape. Not only does this increase the strength of the DSLR custom viewfinder - but it also adds a level of water proofing. A note on the flexible foam... I added the flexible foam to the design to act as a light blocker between the LCD screen on my Canon 60D DSLR camera and the viewfinder unit itself.
